5th gen rules

in 5th gen, there are a few items barred from use on pokemon, these are:

brightpowder
kings rock
razor claw
scope lens
lansat berry
quick claw
focus band
soul dew

there are also a few specific clauses for random events or controlled events:

1. no more than 1 pokemon on any team may be put to sleep at any 1 time. if the move rest is used, your opponent may not put another pokemon to sleep.

2. no more than 1 pokemon of any species may be used on any 1 team, however, the previous evolution of a species may be used along with its fully evolved form (using blissey and chansey on a team).

3. no use of negative accuracy moves (i.e. sand attack or double team) may be used.

FOR THE ELITE 4 ONLY:

4. you may only use UU/NU (underused/never used) pokemon to challenge the 4th or 5th gen elite 4 here. no NFE may be used. dream world pokemon are acceptable.

there are also a list of banned pokemon known as "ubers", which you may not use. there are:

Mewtwo
Lugia
Ho-Oh
Blaziken (with speed boost)
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Deoxys-A
Deoxys-N
Garchomp
Dialga
Palkia
Giratina (both forms)
Manaphy
Darkrai (with dark void ONLY)
Shaymin-Sky
Arceus (all forms)
Reshiram
Zekrom

in this specific forum, all tiers (overused, underused, never used, and not fully evolved) will be used at once. this is a constant OU forum that encourages the use of more UU/NU pokemon to challenge the higher tiers. dream world pokemon abilities may also be used. (this is basicially DWOU with DWUU and lower encouraged)

there will be a user ladder based on the amount of NU/UU/OU you use in any team during a tournament, which all count towards your progress on the user ladder, which may reward you in a mod position, sensei position, or more!

the rules for this are:

every OU pokemon on a team accumulates you 0.5 points if you win with said team, NFE in 1 points, UU in 2 point, NU in 4 points. if any of these have dream world abilities, subtract 0.5 points.

the most points any user can accumulate on the ladder via battling is 24 per battle, and the minimum is 0. in 4th gen (D,P,HG,SS,Pt) the ladder's rules are different, so remember to check that out if you are playing 4th gen!

this isn't smogon carl. this follows similar, but not exact rule sets.

Darkria should be flat out banned. Deoxsy-N in OU, lol. Sand attack and flash are shitty, only ban evasion.

deox N isn't too big of a deal... weak def, not massive attack, pretty easily dealt with.

1/2 HKOing every pokemon in the metagame is kinda a big deal bro, it needs to be banned, I mean its easily twice as broken as Blaziken, and that's banned.

and genesect isn't in DWOU on PO? its attacks are much more devastating

so who decides whats uber and whats not? genesect is limbo and darkrai is uber regardless of dark void or not..

Yeah, it should be noted that different forms of one pokemon cannot be used.
