Re: pant's analyses!
Venusaur:
sun sweeper brilliance. here's the only set i recommend in 5th gen play
item: leftovers
nature: modest
EVs: 244 HP 252 sp. atk 12 speed (for 398 speed)
IV: 31 hp, 30 atk, 31 def, 30 sp. atk, 31 sp. d, 30 speed
ability: chlorophyll
moves: growth, HP fire, giga drain/solarbeam, sludge bomb/synthesis
only use this thing in sun. if you do this thing can tear through teams in a heartbeat. 1-3 growths is... well horrifying. it can 2hko anything in the entire game after 3. its simply my favorite sun sweeper.

pikachu:
i'm doing basic analysis on this because its still pretty good at breaking walls.
item: light ball
nature: naughty
EVs: 252 attack 252 sp. atk 4 speed
IV: 31 hp, 30 atk, 31 def, 30 sp. atk, 31 sp. d, 30 speed
ability: lightning rod
moves: volt tackle, grass knot, HP fire, agility
if you can bait a switch with pikachu, this is the way to go. getting its speed to 400+ instantly with 400+ attacks each... its no slouch. it can hit every wall exceedingly hard with both sp. and phys attacks, but if you cant boost speed, watch out O.O
raichu:
this thing is ok, with less gimmicks and more directly obvious stats, but here's an interesting set.
item: leftovers
nature: modest
EVs: 160 HP 252 sp. atk 96 speed (capping at 301 HP for 100 HP attacks)
IV: 31 hp, 31 atk, 31 def, 31 sp. atk, 31 sp. d, 30 speed
ability: lightning rod
moves: agility, electro ball, grass knot, HP ice
ok guys, this thing is mediocre at best, but my god can it hit physical walls and sweepers like crazy. at 1 agility, this thing gets a speed of 516, outspeeding the entire metagame (most by more than 100), then its already nice sp. attack is pushed on elecrto ball, which tears everything in its way to shreads (besides ground and grass types). it does pretty well for being NU. i'm legitimately surprised.
